One Music Filled Cowboy Weekend
When: Oklahoma Celtic Music and Heritage Festival -
Oklahoma’s
first statewide festival celebrating the music and culture of Scotland,
Ireland, Wales and other Celtic Nations will be held June 21-22, at the
Payne County Expo Center. During the two
day celebration, festival goers can experience traditional music, dance,
demonstrations, sheep dog trials and Scottish horse events. Celtic bands from across the state will perform traditional
jigs and reels, some of which may sound familiar to fans of bluegrass or
country music. For more

Be sure to visit The Strip to see the next generation of stars at top venues such as Willie’s Saloon, Copper Penny, The Cross-eyed Cricket, and more. For a more upscale, low-key experience, visit the secluded Woodland Park Vineyard for a taste of some top home-crafted wines.

Wear: If you are brave enough, traditional Celtic wear will be perfect for the festival, but you might want to shift gears and visit Downtown Stillwater’s The Territory to make the most of your Cowboy inspired trek down The Strip.
