Cowgirl Tennis Earns Top Seed in NCAA Tournament for First Time in Program History

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State’s women’s tennis team won’t have to leave Stillwater for the remainder of the season as it was selected as the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament during Monday’s selection show.

The Cowgirls are 27-0 and have been ranked No. 1 nationally for 12-consecutive weeks, while coming off Big 12 tournament and regular-season championships for the first time since 2016. Their resume includes eight wins over teams currently ranked in the top-10 and 13 wins over teams in the top-25.

Joining OSU in the Stillwater regional will be No. 32 Alabama, No. 36 SMU and Fairfield. Second-seeded Alabama will take on three seed SMU on Saturday, May 4 at 1 p.m., followed by OSU vs. Fairfield at 4 p.m. The winning teams will face off on Sunday at 2 p.m. with a chance to advance to a super-regional on the line.

Oklahoma State will host a regional for the first time since 2022 and host the men’s and women’s national championships for the first time in program history from May 17-19.
